Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Administration Assistant to join our team and to help facilitate the smooth running of our busy practice.

About the role;

Reporting to the HR Manager, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Administration Assistant with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join a close-knit team and help an ambitious and fast-growing architectural studio. The role will involve taking responsibility for a range of office administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the office. These duties include but are not limited to:

  • Answering the telephone and directing calls where appropriate
  • Diary management where required
  • Email and postal organisation and control
  • Management of legal document tracking spreadsheets
  • Supporting the operational efficiencies with all internal systems/platforms
  • Welcoming visitors, providing hospitality and servicing meeting rooms with water, tea and coffee
  • Booking travel and accommodation
  • Become a key member of the social events committee, organising and booking social events throughout the year
  • Supporting with the identification, escalation and organisation of any general repairs around the office

About you;

The ideal candidate for this role will have proven administration experience and be friendly and approachable with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential. You should be capable of prioritising your workload with great communication skills including over the phone, face to face and electronically.

Based in the heart of the picturesque town of Stamford, Lincolnshire, we are an inspiring, highly ethical, supportive and fun place to work. About the role;

Sitting between the technical and design department, this is an integral role which requires a unique person possessing the right mix of technical ability and creative flare along with a can-do attitude.

The successful applicant will primarily support the later living and design team to take a client brief, interpret their vision and go on to produce masterplans supported by area schedules, drawings and layouts for the proposed buildings and surrounding landscapes.

In your role as Architectural Assistant, you will assist the Head of Residential and Later Living in a multitude of ways to ensure a complete view of the client’s brief is considered with no question or consideration left unresolved.

This is a hands-on and diverse role, where each day will be different. You will be ready and willing to go the extra mile in your support to the later living and design team as well as the wider team in general.

We would love to hear from you if you have;

The ideal candidate will have qualifications in Architecture to degree level as well as a background of 1-2 years’ experience of working within the Architecture industry. You will have an enthusiasm for later living concepts and aspirations to take your existing skills and experience to drive your career development in this area.

The specific technical abilities required for this role include:

  • Experience with industry specific software including:
    • CAD
    • SketchUp
    • Revit
  • Microsoft Office (with a strong focus on Excel)
  • The ability to sketch freehand to a high standard to produce fit for purpose designs
  • Knowledge of Architecture project brief layouts and expectations
  • The ability to conceptualise client briefs and turn them into visually inspiring masterplans and accompanying documentation including Design and Access Statements and area schedules
  • Experience in conducting in-depth research relating to proposed sites and incorporating this research into masterplans

The ideal person will have the right mix of experience, knowledge and technical ability, however, the most important thing for us is that you possess a great attitude. The specific attributes required for this role include:
