About the role;
Sitting between the technical and design department, this is an integral role which requires a unique person possessing the right mix of technical ability and creative flare along with a can-do attitude.
The successful applicant will primarily support the later living and design team to take a client brief, interpret their vision and go on to produce masterplans supported by area schedules, drawings and layouts for the proposed buildings and surrounding landscapes.
This is a hands-on and diverse role, where each day will be different. You will be ready and willing to go the extra mile in your support to the later living and design team as well as the wider team in general.

The ideal candidate will have qualifications in Architecture to degree level as well as a background of 1-2 years’ experience of working within the Architecture industry. You will have an enthusiasm for later living concepts and aspirations to take your existing skills and experience to drive your career development in this area.
The specific technical abilities required for this role include:
- Experience with industry specific software including:
- Microsoft Office (with a strong focus on Excel)
- The ability to sketch freehand to a high standard to produce fit for purpose designs
- Knowledge of Architecture project brief layouts and expectations
- The ability to conceptualise client briefs and turn them into visually inspiring masterplans and accompanying documentation including Design and Access Statements and area schedules
- Experience in conducting in-depth research relating to proposed sites and incorporating this research into masterplans
