Isaac recently visited Interchange Retail Park in #Bedford to snag two newly constructed pods - each featuring two retail units - that enhance the work we’ve already delivered across the park. These four additional units aim to broaden the retail offering and have been developed alongside a new landscaping strategy designed to create inviting spaces for shoppers to unwind, while their children enjoy dedicated play areas. Fit-outs are set to begin shortly, so stay tuned for the latest updates.

Excited to be working with @thakeham to deliver Ph

Excited to be working with @thakeham to deliver Phase 1 of Little Mount Lake Retirement Community in Frant, East Sussex.

We’ve been involved in the scheme since 2020, designing a masterplan that includes 146 homes for over-65s and a new-format village centre with café, restaurant, gym, pool & more. Phase 1 starts this month with 55 units & a village centre, all set around a stunning lake. Completion expected late 2027!

Urban Edge Architecture have been working on behal

Urban Edge Architecture have been working on behalf of @hammerson_plc at the Oracle Shopping Centre since 2018 assisting with their repurposing and asset repositioning. We originally obtained planning approval for a larger scale redevelopment of the former House of Fraser Unit, however large shifts in the retail world during the Covid Pandemic led to a restructuring of the proposals to a simpler redevelopment.

Working with @princebuildltd we completed the reconfiguration shell works in February this year ready for the relocation of TK Maxx in the centre, and for occupation by Hollywood Bowl to create a new 24 lane entertainment space breathing new life into the centre and strengthening the leisure and entertainment offer along the Riverside. The completion of a letting deal with Zara fills the final retail floorspace and we can't wait to see what they do with the fitout!

Urban Edge provided Architectural, Principal Designer (CDM) and Principal Designer (Building Regulations) services to Hammerson for this project and continue to assist with other ongoing asset management strategies.

As we commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Victory

As we commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, we’re honoured to share a photo of our team member Lydia’s grandpa, Kenneth Roberts (fourth from left), who served as a Leading Aircraftman during World War II. This treasured image captures his squad on active duty along ‘Ridge Road’ in Kotagidi, Burma (now Myanmar). On this milestone day, we also take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who sacrificed so much to defend our country and uphold the freedoms we cherish today. Their courage and dedication must never be forgotten.
