Located within the affluent town of Sonning Common in the county of Oxfordshire, this proposed retirement community offers a range of living choices overlooking the natural beauty of the Cotswold countryside.

Sonning Common sits on the edge of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the scheme is set within a 11.6 acre site on the north eastern edge of the town. Therefore, the proposals required a considered design approach that sits naturally within its environment and limits impact on the important green edge of the town.

Inspired Village’s proposed development consists of 100 one and two bedroom apartments, seven cottages and a village centre building. The village centre includes a wellness centre, restaurant, shop and other facilities open to both residents and the local community alike. Planning for the scheme was submitted in October 2019.
