Acting for our client, the Stapleford Group, we designed and delivered a new retail and leisure destination located just off the A11 in Thetford. This 75,000 sq.ft retail park, situated within a retail and industrial area on London Road, was carefully designed to acknowledge its surrounding context and meet the demands of modern retailers.

Positioned across the rear of the site, the retail terrace screens the adjacent industrial buildings and enhances the character and appearance of London Road. The units were designed to create an engaging frontage, with freestanding entrance and signage towers punctuating the length of the elevation.

Our landscape team was involved from the planning stage, developing the design of the public realm surrounding the new buildings and car park. Working sensitively around the existing trees, the landscape strategy softens the engineering solutions required to address level changes around the site’s perimeter.
