We worked closely with our client, Peveril Securities, to relocate Peterborough’s existing Waitrose from its former Queensgate Shopping Centre location to Station Gateway, right next to the railway station.

We redeveloped the former Royal Mail depot site – previously used as a temporary car park – to deliver a high‑quality new 29,000 sq.ft foodstore providing the latest Waitrose offer. This represents a significant increase in size compared with the former Queensgate store, which had a sales area of just 15,700 sq.ft.

The store has two entrances: a café‑led entrance designed to attract pedestrians arriving from the station, and a second main entrance that is highly visible to passing traffic on Bourges Boulevard.
