We were commissioned by USS to redevelop the leisure element of The Croft Retail & Leisure Park in Bromborough. Our project involved the re‑cladding and remodelling of the existing cinema, creating the opportunity to relocate the restaurant and takeaway units into a new, purpose‑built pod. This 4,750 sq.ft pod comprises three dedicated units designed to meet the operational needs of contemporary food and beverage retailers, offering flexible layouts and efficient servicing arrangements.

The material palette was carefully selected to harmonise with the wider retail and leisure park, ensuring the new additions sit comfortably within their established context. Timber louvres provide effective mitigation against solar gain while adding warmth and texture to the façades. A distinctive sail‑like design feature gives the pod a strong visual identity, helping to elevate the character of the leisure offer and contributing to a more cohesive and attractive environment for visitors.
